Dear Friends, Supporters, and Rugby Fans,
Good afternoon, and welcome to Harrogate Rugby Club for this Regional 1 North East home game against Driffield RFC.
It was a glorious day last Saturday, the sun was shining, the pitch was a lush green, and our visitors has every intention of spoiling the party for the Aces! After defending our line for 20 mins in the opening half and a further 10 minutes at the back end of the game the boys now know exactly what it will take to secure promotion from this league. And the outcome from all that hard work? We stay forth in the table and watched Heath and Ilkley add another maximum to their tally to maintain the 4 point gap. With the return of of some key faces, one of which Driffield with definitely remember, today should be a game to enjoy of the home fans. But we know how much every visiting team wants to upset the party…
It is also a day to acknowledge our Junior Chair and today’s sponsor, Matt Grant, of Samuel Grant Packaging. As a family, the Grants have been tremendous supporters of the club for many years, and as a Chairman, Matthew has served our junior members diligently. Championing their successes on and off the field while ensuring this lifeblood of the club has a (loud) voice in every discussion. Thanks for the support, Granty!
